While I loved studying drama and being involved within the performing arts and entertainment industry, I realised my passion for makeup - especially - prosthetics and special effects when I started doing backstage work for one of my semester assignments.

Towards the end of that semester I started getting advertisements for makeup schools and so I started researching. I found AACM (The Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic Makeup) a school, which funnily enough, my mum had told me about years ago when she had come back from working at her stall during the EKKA.
​
I’d seen many videos and many behind the scenes videos of theatre, film and documentaries of prosthetic artistry or Youtube videos of halloween makeups. I’d never tried my hand at any sort of SFX for the longest time as I didn’t know where to start and seeing all these videos inspired me to try.
When I saw the advertisements for AACM, I knew the opportunity had finally arrived. I quickly deferred from my drama course at the end of that year and enrolled myself into as many courses as I could before the cut-off period for enrolment.
I’ve loved every step of my makeup and artist journey so far and hope to continue growing

For thirteen years in the lead up to figuring out my career, I was an international competitive figure skater who represented both my state and my country.
Unfortunately, due to various injuries and life getting busy, I have stopped figure skating... but I do hope to eventually start again; whether that be competing or for fitness.
Starting from a young age, I've always held my art and my performances to a high degree; And I end up being my own worst enemy and criticisng every mistake no matter how big or small until I believe it has reached a level of personal recognition.

This dedication to my craft has carried over into all forms of my art and personal life and it has become a huge part of who I am. It inspires me to be curious, learn more and keep practising - honing my skills so that I can create and perform to the best of my abilities for all of you.
​
Musicals, film and ballets have always been huge inspirations for me and I aspire to some day work in each industry… As they say : Manifestation is the first step.

The beauty of art is that it is subjective and each to their own. My work is designed to showcase your idea of beauty... it could be glamorous, exciting, creative, colourful, different, elegant, scary. It's your idea, so let's create it together.
